Catch pics and opportunities

While I’m sitting on my sofa I’m looking outside the window. The clouds are moving fast and covering the mountain in front of my building. I’m hearing the noise of the cars and busses down on the street.

It’s raining. It’s autumn. And I’m thinking “It’s already autumn. How is it possible?”

It seems like yesterday when I started to enjoy the good weather, the long days where the last sunrays accompanied you until dinner and further. The time of wearing t-shirt and shorts all day long. The time of riding my mountain-bike with my friends after work. Really!? Has all this come to an end already!? Yes, it has.

Unfortunately, we spent the whole spring closed at home. We know which is the reason and we are tired to read about this topic. But because of that we couldn’t enjoy one of the best moments of the year. The season in which flowers bloom. In which the colors are so bright. The temperature is perfect for every kind of activity. We were thrown into summer with hot temperatures and disorientated, physically and mentally.

However, my will was stronger than ever. I wanted to go outside. I wanted to walk along the path. Easy or difficult. I just needed to go back to my favorite environment. So, after lockdown I tried to live as many moments as possible outside. And captured mountain-memories for the future.

I didn’t want to waste a single second. I don’t want to.

In fact, very often we don’t live moments to the fullest just because we think too much. We postpone some activities and we lose chances. We don’t live as we would like to and we complain about it. But we do nothing to change.

From this sad event we’ve learnt a lot and we still have some to learn. In general we could say that we have to live our life in a different way; trying to enjoy every moment as good as possible, to discover new passions, to rediscover old emotions. We don’t have to look back and have regrets.

It’s not easy but I hope to achieve this target.

During this summer I didn’t discover my love for the mountains because I already know it, instead I did discover the importance of the opportunity to live them. I hope I never have to stop savoring.

Now, with my mind sailing between different feelings I find myself walking with cold temperature, wind and sleet. Around me only threatening clouds and snowy ridges. In the distance a small almost frozen lake.

It’s the end of this short summer, sucked into the fears of a second wave.

The sun comes out right on time, it’s better to close the laptop and get outside. I want to continue to savore the freedom, even if it is just for a short walk and a breath of fresh air. The nature is incredible and I’m ready for chill adventures.
